Team and Governance

The Tendoo Design System is a living product maintained by a dedicated team of designers, developers, and contributors. This page outlines who is responsible for the system, how decisions are made, and how you can get involved.

Core Team

The core Tendoo Design team oversees the direction, maintenance, and evolution of the design system. Their responsibilities include:

  • Defining and refining design foundations
  • Maintaining component libraries for web and mobile
  • Reviewing contributions and approving updates
  • Ensuring accessibility and performance standards

Roles

  • Design Lead – Owns visual direction, design principles, and component UX.
  • Engineering Lead – Oversees technical implementation and code quality.
  • System Maintainers – Handle day-to-day maintenance, reviews, and documentation.
  • Accessibility Advocate – Ensures all components meet accessibility standards.

Governance Model

We use a collaborative governance model that includes:

  • Proposal System – Anyone can propose updates or new components.
  • Review Process – Core team reviews proposals weekly.
  • Versioning – Major changes are grouped into versioned releases.
  • Feedback Loops – Feedback from product teams is reviewed monthly.
